Circular
walk |
The
aim of the circular walk which lasts two hours is to help you discover
the industrial, mining, architectural heritage which survives in Merkwiller-Pechelbronn
and its neighbourhood. On leaving the oil museum, the guide will show you the technological park, the Clemenceau pit and its slag-heap, the Boussingault workers’ quarter, the hot water (70°) spring « Les Hélions », the Le Bel mansion and its farm, the former offices. The circular walk is 4 km in length and lasts about 2 hours. The length can be shortened if required. The tour ends with the visit of the museum. It is advised to wear appropriate clothing and shoes according to the weather |
A guided visit is organised every 1st and 3rd Sunday from April to October and every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month, from April to October.Meet outside the museum at 2.30 P.M., 4 rue de l’école at Merkwiller-Pechelbronn. For groups of 10 and more, the tour is available all the year by arrangement. |
